Jean C. E. Taris was a French swimmer who competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics, 1932 Summer Olympics and 1936 Summer Olympics. He was born in Versailles. In the 1928 Olympics he was third with the French relay team in his first round heat of 4×200 m freestyle relay event and fifth in his first round heat of 1500 m freestyle event and did not advance in both occasions. Four years later he won a silver medal in the 400 m freestyle event. He was also sixth in 1500 m freestyle event.
