  • Jamie Mulgrew is a Northern Irish professional footballer currently playing for Linfield F.C. of the Irish Premier League. He previously played for the Irish league champions Glentoran F.C. He has recently suffered a hamstring Injury in the Semi Final of the County Antrim Shield against Crusaders. His absence was noted in a subsequent fixture against Derry City in the Setanta Cup in which Linfield lost 3-0 at the Brandywell allowing Glentoran to qualify for the Semi Final stage for the first time in their history. He has been capped at Under-21 level for his country. The Belfast Telegraph ran a story on Monday 24 August in their morning edition in regards to a possible move to Portadown. Portadown have had a poor start to their return to the Irish Premier League and see Mulgrew as having the much need experience that they desire. The story ran claimed that any deal would involve cash plus a player with young Portadown midfielder David McCullough being noted as a possible add on. McCullough has long been admired by Linfield and could be the key to any move.
