James Michael Munro is a convicted murderer. James was born to Anna Marie Massow in Furth Byron, Germany. In 1963 he was then adopted by Americans Evon Charron and Leigh Munro of Michigan. Munro was convicted as an accomplice to serial killer William Bonin, who was also known as the "California Freeway Killer" or just the "Freeway Killer". Their crimes took place in southern California in the late 1970s to the very early 1980s.

Munro is currently serving out his sentence of fifteen years to life at the Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, California.
