Ivan Dixon (April 6, 1931 – March 16, 2008) was an American actor, director, and producer best known for his series role in the 1960s sitcom Hogan's Heroes, for his role in the 1967 telefilm The Final War of Olly Winter, and for directing hundreds of episodes of television series. Active in the Civil Rights Movement, he served as a president of Negro Actors for Action.

Ivan Dixon wurde vor allem durch seine Rolle als der amerikanische Funker Ivan „Kinch“ Kinchloe in einem deutschen Kriegsgefangenenlager des Zweiten Weltkriegs in der Fernsehserie Ein Käfig voller Helden bekannt. Seine Schauspielkarriere begann aber am New Yorker Broadway, wo er unter anderem 1959 in A Raisin in the Sun mitwirkte. Zwei Jahre später war Dixon auch in der Verfilmung des Theaterstücks an der Seite von Sidney Poitier und Diana Sands zu sehen. Weitere Filmrollen hatte Ivan Dixon 1964 in Nichts als ein Mensch (Nothing But a Man, 1964), 1965 erneut zusammen mit Poitier in Träumende Lippen (A Patch of Blue) und 1976 in der Komödie Car Wash. Neben der Serie Ein Käfig voller Helden, in der Dixon von 1965 bis 1970 mitwirkte, hatte Dixon zahlreiche Gastauftritte in anderen Fernsehserien. Nach seinem Ausstieg aus Ein Käfig voller Helden war Dixon vor allem als Fernsehregisseur tätig, unter anderem für die Serien Die Waltons, Detektiv Rockford – Anruf genügt und Magnum. Ivan Dixon verstarb im Alter von 76 Jahren am 16. März 2008 im Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Er litt an Nierenversagen und erlag inneren Blutungen.
