Ittihad University (IU) is the first-largest private university located in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), United Arab Emirates. Founded in year 1999 according to the Emiri Decree No. 9/99 issued by H.H. Sheikh Saqr Bin Muhammad Al-Qassimi, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Emirate, Member of the Supreme Council. The University also enjoys the support of H.H. Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al-Qassimi, the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Emirate.
