InspirAction is a Spanish Foundation, working in international development throughout Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. They do this by addressing a range of issues working in partnership with local organisations, as part of Christian Aid International. InspirAction speak out on issues such as poverty, climate change, health and HIV, and economic and tax justice as well as responding to disasters and emergencies. Their mission is to ‘expose the scandal of poverty’ and take positive action to address the issue, whether that be through local development projects, raising awareness or influencing government policy. InspirAction works with more than 650 local organisations across 49 countries. The NGO is part of a global movements with its head office in Madrid and was launched in March 2009. As with many other NGOs InspirAction aims to keep administrative costs to a minimum to ensure that at least 80 per cent of funds received go to international development projects. Whilst Christian Aid currently funds InspirAction, both focus solely on international development work and do not work to spread religion; working with organisations of any religion, or none. Their primary concern is that their partners all maintain a fundamental respect for human rights. Their long term plan is to eventually raise funds within Spain and become self funding.

La misión de InspirAction es exponer el escándalo que supone la pobreza en el mundo actual e implementar soluciones proactivas para aliviar sus consecuencias, llevando a cabo proyectos de desarrollo a largo plazo, proporcionando ayuda en situaciones de emergencia y realizando campañas de denuncia y sensibilización. InspirAction tiene su sede en Madrid, está registrada en España como fundación y se presentó en público el 1 de abril de 2009. InspirAction trata de mantener sus gastos administrativos al mínimo. Su objetivo es garantizar que el 80% de sus fondos se destinan directamente a sus proyectos. Aunque actualmente InspirAction está financiada por su organización matricial, Christian Aid, su objetivo es llegar a ser autosuficiente. Ambas entidades se centran exclusivamente en el desarrollo de su trabajo de cooperación internacional, que llevan a cabo mediante una red de organizaciones locales, que pueden ser de cualquier religión o de ninguna, y a las que se les solicita que mantengan un principio de respeto fundamental por los derechos humanos.
