The 13th congressional district of Illinois covers the southwest suburbs of Chicago, including portions of Cook, DuPage, and Will counties. Since 1999 it has been represented by Republican Judy Biggert. In the 2004 U.S. General Election, this district voted for George W. Bush with 55% to 45% for John Kerry. However, in 2008, the district flipped and voted for Barack Obama, like other suburban Chicago districts.
