  • Identifikation bedeutet wörtlich übersetzt „gleichsetzen“. Gemeint ist damit in der Psychologie der Vorgang, sich in einen anderen Menschen einzufühlen. Dabei werden – bewusst oder unbewusst – Teile (z. B. ) des Gefühlslebens des Anderen als eigene erkannt, und man empfindet mit dem Anderen mit. Dieser Prozess spielt auch im Theater und im Film eine große Rolle. Dort fragt man einerseits nach der Identifikation eines Schauspielers mit seiner Rolle, andererseits wird der Begriff benutzt, um das Verhältnis des Zuschauers zu den dargestellten Figuren zu bezeichnen.
