Dench was the guitarist and principal songwriter for EMF, who scored a major international hit reaching number 1 in the United States with "Unbelievable" in 1991. Before this, since 1987?, he was the guitarist and songwriter for Apple Mosaïc band (with Laurence Carrington-Windo-vocals, co-writer, Tim Harvey -bass- and Shane Young -drums-), who recorded in 1989 the LP, "Hole", produced by Clive Martin.
