IAMX is zeker ook populair dankzij hun live optredens. De line up van de show verandert voortdurend en bevat meestal Sue Denim (zijn vriendin) en Dee Plume, beiden van Robots in Disguise. Ook de twee helften van The Mighty Boosh, Julian Barratt en Noel Fielding, zijn al van de partij geweest, Noel vroeger als vaste bassist en Julian eerder als occasionele toevallige deelnemer. De groep is enorm populair in Wallonië, waar het album hevig gepromoot werd door radio en televisie. De band heeft inmiddels getourd in heel Europa, waaronder Amsterdam tijdens het London Calling festival in 2005. Het tweede album, genaamd The Alternative, is uitgebracht in Europa op 21 april 2006. In augustus 2009 stonden ze op het M'era Luna festival.
