Hornindal is a municipality in the county of Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Nordfjord. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Grodås. Hornindal was separated from Eid in 1867. (Hornindal was part of the municipality of Stryn from 1965-1977. ) Hornindalsvatnet, the deepest lake in Northern Europe, is located partly here and partly in Eid municipality.
