Honda Racing F1 Team was a Formula One (F1) team run by Japanese car manufacturer Honda, from 1964 to 1968 and from 2006 to 2008. Honda's involvement in F1 began with the 1964 season; their withdrawal in 1968 was precipitated by the death of Honda driver Jo Schlesser during the 1968 French Grand Prix. They returned in 1983 as an engine supplier, a role that ended in 1992.

On February 27 2009 it was announced that the team had been secured with a management buy-out led by team principal Ross Brawn, and currently races successfully as Brawn GP.

Overigens schijnen er al 3 serieuze geïnteresseerden te zijn en zal Jenson Button verzekerd zijn van een stoeltje voor komend jaar, mits de overname slaagt. Eerder in 2008 was dochter-team Super Aguri al genoodzaakt zich uit de Formule 1 terug te trekken vanwege financiële problemen, wat dus een voorbode blijkt te zijn geweest voor het einde van het grote Honda. Op 6 maart 2009 werd bekend dat het (oude) team van Honda toch aan de start zal staan bij de eerste Grand Prix. Het team is overgenomen door voormalig teammanager Ross Brawn, die het team omdoopte naar Brawn GP. De BGP 001 (de eerste Brawn GP bolide) zal zonder het nieuwe KERS-systeem aan de start in Melbourne verschijnen.
