Comprising of Oli Irwin doing the lead vocals and playing guitar, Jordan West on lead guitar and vocals, Mat Key on bass and Rob Perry on drums.   • Hey Molly are an English four piece indie rock band with ska and punk influences. The band is primarily based in Teignmouth, Devon. Comprising of Oli Irwin doing the lead vocals and playing guitar, Jordan West on lead guitar and vocals, Mat Key on bass and Rob Perry on drums. The band is known for it's energetic and memorable performances as well as original and highly evocative music. When first established the band had early success in a local Battle of the Bands which awarded them recording time in a local studio which was their first real steps into the music industry. The band got their first real spot in the lime light after entering and winning a competiton to support Muse at The Eden Sessions at The Eden Project in 2006 in Cornwall and from there history was made. The band has had continued support from Muse, Christopher Wolstenholme on more than one occasion has played with them when their drummer has been unavailable, not only in local venues but also in the studio for Sub. tv which featured three of their best songs,Wayward Country Boy, Backstreet Boozer Loser and Lately, and was filmed in a studio in Elephant and Castle, London. Christopher Wolstenholme has also worked with the band on their first EP release of Backstreet Boozer Loser and has heralded the band as "One of the best up and coming bands in the UK". The band had their first European tour in 2007 and since have not been strangers to their fans abroad playing over 300 venues. The band are not only inspirational musicians but are keen charity supporters, playing for and supporting The Helen Foundation, as well as playing for a youth based charity called Street Music in Newton Abbot, they played at the Torbay Oxjam event and more recently they also headlined for The eChO Festival, an indoor music festival raising money for Children In Need. Hey Molly have played at other events and gigs such as Mount the Curb, The Rocket Festival in Andalucia, Spain, Aeon Festival, Bfestival, Lowender Festival, Wyeside Music Festival, Plymouth Volks Festival, Glastonbury Festival, Maker Festival, Apres Sessions, Snowbombing Festival in Austria, the Gold Coast Sundowner Sessions and they've featured in an interview at the Red Stripe Music Awards in the Blue Bar and are also popular on local radio station Palm 105.5 and feature reguarly in local paper the Herald Express. Hey Molly have also supported the likes of The Automatic and Mumm-Ra (which was covered by BBC Radio 6), Madness, Dirty Pretty Things, Jack Penate, Calvin Harris, The Thrills, Andy Rourke, Captain Phoenix, The Checks, The Holloways, Tank Turner, The Van Daniels and Pigeon Detectives and again supported Muse at their homecoming gig A Seaside Rendezvous on the head-lining night on Saturday the 5th of September 2009 along with Zane Lowe and coverage from the BBC TV and BBC Radio One. Hey Molly were featured in an interview about A Seaside Rendezvous by Vexed Magazine. The debut release of Backstreet Boozer Loser will be available for download and limited edition CD from 19 October 2009.
