Het Gezelschap Practische Studie, PS in short, is the Dutch student society for civil engineering students at the TU Delft. The society was founded on February 13, 1894. PS represents all students from freshmen to seniors and organizes a wide range of activities. As a society, PS is the direct link between students and the faculty and between students and civil engineering companies.

  • Het Gezelschap Practische Studie, PS in short, is the Dutch student society for civil engineering students at the TU Delft. The society was founded on February 13, 1894. PS represents all students from freshmen to seniors and organizes a wide range of activities. As a society, PS is the direct link between students and the faculty and between students and civil engineering companies. To fulfill this task, PS is led each year by a board of seven members, who lead the society fulltime and take a break from their study for a year. Besides the board, the society runs on committees. About a hundred people participate in these committees every year. PS evaluates the education at the faculty, organizes activities and publishes documents. A short description of these activities is given on the pages next to this one.
  • Het Gezelschap "Practische Studie" (ook wel PS) is de studievereniging van studenten civiele techniek aan de TU Delft. In 1886 besloot een aantal leden van het Delftsch Studenten Corps "den leden gelegenheid te geven zich in bijeenkomsten onderlingh te bekwamen in den Civiel- en Bouwkundige Ingenieurswetenschappen". Hiermee werd de basis gelegd van Het Gezelschap "Practische Studie", dat in 1894 officieel werd opgericht. Sinds haar oprichting houdt de vereniging zich bezig met studie-ondersteunende en studie-aanvullende activiteiten. Van de 1200 leden zijn er ongeveer 100 actief betrokken bij de organisatie van diverse activiteiten. De organisatie gebeurt door een twintigtal commissies. Daarnaast is er een bestuur van 7 personen dat gedurende het studiejaar fulltime aan het werk is.
