Henry George Strauss was a very notable British lawyer and a conservative member of Parliament representing at various times Norwich, the Combined English Universities and Norwich South. He was Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade from 1950 to 1955. In 1955 he was created Baron Conesford, which title became extinct upon his death. He was also a member of the governors of Norwich High School for Girls and a vice-president of the Girls' Day School Trust.
