Henry Phillpotts (1778–1869), Bishop of Exeter or "Henry of Exeter," as he was often called, was England's longest serving bishop since the 14th century, (1830–1869), one of the most striking figures in the English Church of the 19th century and one of the last of the pre-Reform bishops.
