Harry Lloyd (born 17 November 1983) is an English actor. He played Will Scarlet in the first two series of the BBC drama Robin Hood which began in 2006. Lloyd was born in London, England; and is the great-great-great-grandson of the Victorian writer Charles Dickens (his mother, children's publisher Marion Dickens, is the daughter of Captain Peter Dickens RN). He is the cousin of biographer and writer Lucinda Hawksley and actor and performer Gerald Dickens.

Lloyd was born in London, England; and is the great-great-great-grandson of the Victorian writer Charles Dickens (his mother, children's publisher Marion Dickens, is the daughter of Captain Peter Dickens RN). Lloyd was educated at Eton College and while there, was cast as young Steerforth in the 2000 film of David Copperfield and then in 2002, he was cast as young Rivers in Goodbye Mr Chips. Lloyd went on to study English at Christ Church, Oxford, where he joined the Oxford University Dramatic Society appearing in several plays, such as Kiss of the Spider Woman in which he played the role of Valentin, and as Antipholus of Syracuse in Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors for the OUDS 2005 Summer tour to Japan alongside Felicity Jones and Rose Heiney. He left Oxford in 2005, graduating with an upper second degree. In early 2007, Lloyd made his professional stage debut, at the Trafalgar Studios in A Gaggle of Saints, one of three short plays that make up Neil LaBute's ', for which he received many positive reviews. Lloyd played Jeremy Baines, a student whose mind is taken over by a species of aliens called 'The Family of Blood', in the Doctor Who episodes Human Nature and The Family of Blood. He had been suggested as a possible candidate to play the Doctor when David Tennant left the role, based on a comment made by Russell T Davies in an interview with PR Wire. In 2009 he will work on the HBO pilot Game of Thrones, based on the fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. He will play Viserys Targaryen, the beggar king. He also appears in the forthcoming BBC comedy Taking The Flak.
