Hans Eberhard Apel (b. 25 February 1932 in Hamburg) is a German politician and a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). From 1972-1974 he was Parliamentary State Secretary to the Foreign Minister. From 1974-1978 he was the Minister of Finance and from 1978-1982 he was the Minister of Defence.
