During its early existence, however, it showed very little besides endless repeats of Sponsé, an amateur film made by high school students in Toronto. The channel disappeared soon after its creation. On September 30, 2005, SF Partners purchased the channel, renamed it YES-TV, and intended to relaunch the service. As of late 2007, there has been no indication that this service would be relaunching. The licence granted by the CRTC has since expired and thus the owners would have to reapply for a licence if they intend to launch it which does not appear likely at this point.
