The first is a fully compliant XACML engine that can easily be integrated into an application. The second is the development of a Policy Administration Point (PAP) that is not a rich XML editor for creating XACML Policies. The focus lies here on the development of a PAP that shall enable business people in creating enterprise wide authorization policies. This part of the project is currently in its elaboration phase. HERAS only uses open standards like XACML, SAML, Webservices, etc. for the communication between components. That way the highest possible interoperability with 3rd-party products is guaranteed.
