Furthermore, it is ranked as the top horticulture school in the Netherlands, received a second place in the category of best specialized university of applied sciences, and in the top 20's of all Universities of applied sciences| HAS Den Bosch is a relatively small, independent University of Applied Sciences, which is especially known for providing personal attention and support as well as professional supervision to its students. Het is een relatief kleine hogeschool. Ter indicatie: per 31 december 2004, was het aantal voltijds studenten 1423 (waarvan 61 internationale studenten en 32 op basis van Europese uitwisseling). Het aantal personeelsleden was 174. De negen studies die HAS Den Bosch aanbiedt zijn Bedrijfskunde en agribusiness, Ondernemer en bedrijf, Voedingsmiddelentechnologie, Food Design, Milieukunde, Stad en streekontwikkeling, Tuin- en landschapsmanagement, Tuinbouw en akkerbouw en Dier- en veehouderij. In september 2006 werd in samenwerking met Unilever en de Wageningen Universiteit en Researchcentrum het Anton Jurgens Institute opgericht. Dit instituut verzorgt vanaf 2007 studies op Master of Science-niveau. De studies zijn stuk voor stuk niet alleen gericht op het verkrijgen van kennis, maar ook het leren toepassen van deze kennis in de praktijk. Vier jaar lang werk wordt er gewerkt in uitdagende projecten en alle studenten lopen stages in binnen- en buitenland. Het arbeidsmarktperspectief is goed tot zeer goed. Naast de gangbare faciliteiten onderscheidt HAS Den Bosch zich ook door onderzoek- en onderwijsmogelijkheden op gebied van voedingsmiddelentechnologie, food design, milieutechnologie, cad/cam faciliteiten, een studiepaleis, een schooltuin, techniekhal en een paardenbak. Onderzoek en opleidingen voor derden worden georganiseerd door HAS KennisTransfer. Het gaat dan om zowel onderzoek en advies, als opleiding & training. HASKennisTransfer heeft een directe band met HAS Den Bosch en profileert in de markt van de toegepaste kennis.
