- Group Policy is a feature of the Microsoft Windows NT family of operating systems. Group policy provides the centralized management and configuration of operating systems, applications and users' settings in an Active Directory environment. In other words, group policy in part controls what users can and can't do on a computer system. Although group policy is more often seen in use in enterprise environments, it is also common in schools, smaller businesses and other kinds of smaller organizations. Group policy is often used to restrict certain actions that may pose potential security risks, for example: to block access to the Task Manager, restrict access to certain folders, disable the downloading of executable files and so on. As part of Microsoft's IntelliMirror technologies, group policy aims to reduce the cost of supporting users. IntelliMirror technologies relate to the management of disconnected machines or roaming users and include roaming user profiles, folder redirection and offline files.
- Das Group Policy Object (GPO), auf deutsch Gruppenrichtlinienobjekt, ist ein Begriff aus der EDV. Damit werden in einer Windows Active Directory Domain die Richtlinien gesetzt: Einerseits für einzelne Nutzer bis zu ganzen Nutzergruppen (organisiert in Organizational Units, OUs), andererseits auch für Computer und Computergruppen (auch in OUs). Zur Definition einer Richtlinie gehören: Rechte, Eigenschaften im System und Verwaltung, Installationen von MSI-Paketen, Sicherheitseinstellungen, Remoteeinstellungen und Profileigenschaften.
- Les stratégies de groupe (ou GPO en anglais, Group Policy Object) sont des fonctions de gestion centralisée de la famille Windows. Elles permettent la gestion des ordinateurs et des utilisateurs dans un environnement Active Directory. Les stratégies de groupe font parties de la famille des technologies IntelliMirror, qui incluent la gestion des ordinateurs déconnectés, la gestion des utilisateurs itinérants ou la gestion de la redirection des dossiers ainsi que la gestion des fichiers en mode déconnecté. Bien que les stratégies de groupe soient régulièrement utilisées dans les entreprises, elles sont également utilisées dans les écoles ou dans les petites organisations pour restreindre les actions et les risques potentiels comme par exemple : verrouillage du panneau de configuration, restriction d’accès à certains dossiers, désactivation de l’utilisation de certains exécutables, etc…
- グループポリシー（英: Group Policy）は、Microsoft Windows NT ファミリのオペレーティングシステムにある機能の1つ。Active Directory 環境内でコンピュータ群やリモートユーザ群の集中管理とコンフィギュレーションの手段を提供する。言い換えれば、ユーザーがそのコンピュータネットワーク内で何ができ、何ができないかを制御する。グループポリシーは企業内で使うことが多いが、他にも学校や小規模な団体でセキュリティ問題を発生する可能性のある行動を制限するために使う。例えば、Windows タスク マネージャーをブロックしたり、特定フォルダへのアクセスを制限したり、実行ファイルのダウンロードを禁止したりといった用途がある。 マイクロソフトのインテリミラーテクノロジーの一部であり、Windowsにおけるユーザーサポート経費を低減させることを目的としている。それらのテクノロジーは、ネットワークに接続していないマシンの管理やローミングユーザーの管理に関連し、ローミングプロファイル、フォルダリダイレクト、オフラインファイルを含む。
- Групповая политика — это набор правил, в соответствии с которыми производится настройка рабочей среды Windows. Групповые политики создаются в домене и реплицируются в рамках домена. Объект групповой политики (Group Policy Object, GPO) состоит из двух физически раздельных составляющих: контейнера групповой политики (Group Policy Container, GPC) и шаблона групповой политики (Group Policy Template, GPT). Эти два компонента содержат в себе всю информацию о параметрах рабочей среды, которая включается в состав объекта групповой политики. Продуманное применение объектов GPO к объектам каталога Active Directory позволяет создавать эффективную и легко управляемую компьютерную рабочую среду на базе ОС Windows. Политики применяются сверху вниз по иерархии каталога Active Directory.
