They are now primarily based in London, and continue to produce and record music as well as hosting semi-regular club nights in London and an annual London festival under the Lovebox banner. The group has collaborated with a diverse array of artists including Neneh Cherry, DJ Gram’Ma Funk, Sophie Barker, Nappy Roots, Fudge Dog, Sunshine Anderson, Mutya Buena, Jeru The Damaja and Richie Havens. Tom Findlay has described working with Prince as his dream collaboration, although there are no plans for such at the moment. Groove Armada is probably best known to the music listening public for producing music that have featured in numerous media including advertising campaigns, movies and computer games (see below). Die Band besteht im wesentlichen aus den beiden „Masterminds“ Andy Cato und Tom Findlay sowie wechselnden Studio-Musikern. Aber auch die Ergebnisse von Gastauftritten diverser Popstars, wie z. B. Neneh Cherry, findet man auf ihren Platten wieder. Als sich 1994 Tom Findlay und Andy Cato trafen, erkannten sie beide ihre musikalischen Vorlieben für Funk, Jazz, Disco und House. Bemerkenswert war, dass die Mischung ihrer unterschiedlichen Vorstellungen sich zu einer etwas eigenartig aber faszinierenden Stilrichtung entwickelt. 1999 erschien das Partyalbum Vertigo. Im Jahr 2001 kam ihr drittes Album auf dem Markt, welches den Namen Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub) trägt. Damit erhofften sie sich einen etwas größeren Erfolg, der aber erst mit ihrem nächsten Album Lovebox folgte. Das Album Soundboy Rock, erweiterte mit HipHop, Reggae und Pop ihren musikalischen Horizont. Somit versuchten sie sich nicht an eine bestimmte Musikrichtung festzulegen. Ihr bekanntester Titel ist der internationale Hit I See You Baby aus dem Jahre 2000, welcher auch von Fatboy Slim geremixt wurde. Von ihnen stammt auch das Thema aus dem „Sex and the City“-Abspann sowie etliche Remixe von fremden Songs. Hervorzuheben ist im speziellen das Album Lovebox aus dem Jahre 2002, welches vor allem durch musikalische Abwechslung besticht. Darauf befindet sich auch Hands of Time, das später im Kinofilm „Collateral“ mit Tom Cruise und Jamie Foxx verwendet wurde. Der Song ist ebenfalls auf dem entsprechenden Soundtrack zum Film zu finden. Abgesehen von dem doch etwas trivialen Refrain Shakin’ that ass ihres größten Hits I See You Baby (welcher auch bei einer Renault-Mégane-Werbung Verwendung fand) ist die Musik Groove Armadas weniger dem Mainstream zuzurechnen.
