After earning a BBA in Operations Management from Baruch College, Gregorio wrote several screenplays including The Staten Island Catapult which was adapted into an award-winning documentary in 2005. The same year also yielded the completion of his first novel entitled, Birds. A second documentary, Bootleg This Movie premiered in 2007. Smithkraft Productions, an independent multimedia production company was founded by Gregorio in 2003 and is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York. He is currently working on a documentary feature adaptation of his novel Birds. A documentary short entitled, What Birds Eat premiered during the NewFilmmaker Series at the Anthology Film Archives in November 2007. Completion of an as yet untitled novel is anticipated for 2010.
