Gregori Chad Petree is a musician who is also best known as guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the New Wave/indie/rock band Shiny Toy Guns. He has also been a member of the bands Paradigm, Cloud2Ground, R.R.D.S. , Dangerous Insects, and 90's pop group PC Quest and Slyder. He wrote and co-wrote many of the songs on We Are Pilots, the debut album from the Shiny Toy Guns as well many of the songs on the band's second album, Season of Poison.

He is the brother of Stephen Petree, who helped write several songs off the album 'We are Pilots'. Chad also co-wrote and co-produced six tracks on the 2005 album release "The Other Side" by recording artist "LOU". In 2008 him and his band Shiny Toy Guns released a new album called Season of Poison which hit #47 in the Billboard 200 chart. He has a tattoo on his left arm that says "to the machine" .... it's reflective of his favorite band Pink Floyd and his favorite song Welcome to the Machine.
