- The Greek National Socialist Party, was a minor Nazi party founded in Greece in 1932 by George S. Mercouris, a former Cabinet minister. Established in Athens in December 1932, the National Socialist Party was one of a number of far right groups active in the country at the time (others including the National Union of Greece, Iron Peace, Trident, and National Sovereign State, although it was distinguished by being the most fiercely supportive of Adolf Hitler, seeking to copy the National Socialist German Workers Party in organisational and policy terms. The party emerged after Mercouris, who had ppreviously shown sympathy to Italian fascist trade unions, split from Panagis Tsaldaris and the Populist Party over the need for a coalition government. Through contacts with Galeazzo Ciano, Mercouris secured funding for the new group from Italy, although this soon dried up as they were not convinced that the party was in any position to gain power. The party itself was largely geared towards Italian fascism, although Mercouris himself and some of his main followers were more drawn to the German model and he was sometimes used as a go-between by the collaborationist government during the Nazi occupation. The Greek party, however, failed to become any more than a very minor movement and did not serve the regime of Ioannis Metaxas, although given the monarchist stance of the party many of its followers were reconciled to the new government. During the Axis occupation of Greece the group was allowed to continue, although it had no real role in the largely military-based puppet government and faced competition from the other extremist movements.
- Il Partito Nazional-Socialista Greco, è stato un partito prima nazionalsocialista e poi fascista minore fondato in Grecia nel 1932 da George S. Mercouris, un ex ministro. Fondato ad Atene nel dicembre 1932, il Partito Nazional-Socialista è stato uno di una serie di gruppi di destra attivi nel paese in quell' epoca (altri furono l' Unione Nazionale Greca, Pace di ferro, Tridente, e Sovranità Nazionale dello Stato, anche se si è distinto per essere il più forte sostenitore di Adolf Hitler, cercando di copiare il Partito Nazional-Socialista dei Lavoratori Tedeschi nell' organizzazione e in termini di politica. Il partito, una volta allontanato Mercouris, che aveva mostrato simpatie per il corporativismo fascista italiano, si divise tra i sostenitori di Panagis Tsaldaris e il Partito Popolare per le necessità di un governo di coalizione. Grazie ai contatti con Galeazzo Ciano, Mercouris riuscì ad assicurarsi un finanziamento per rifondare il partito basandolo stavolta sul Partito Nazionale Fascista italiano, anche se questo finanziamento si è presto prosciugato in quanto in Italia non erano convinti che il partito fosse in grado di ottenere il potere. Il partito è stato comunque rifondato, ed in gran parte orientato verso il fascismo italiano, anche se Mercouris stesso e alcuni dei suoi principali seguaci, in quanto antisemiti erano più propensi ad utilizzare il modello propagandistico tedesco che è stato talvolta usato come un ammortizzatore nel collaborazionismo del governo durante la occupazione nazista della Grecia. Il partito, tuttavia, fallito il tentativo di prendere il potere, decise di non appoggiare il regime fantoccio di Ioannis Metaxas, anche se molti dei suoi seguaci si sono riconciliati con il nuovo governo, ragion per cui durante l' occupazione della Grecia nella seconda guerra mondiale al partito è stato permesso di continuare ad esistere, anche se non ha avuto alcun ruolo attivo nel governo e nell' esercito, anche di fronte alla concorrenza di altri movimenti più estremisti filo-nazisti.
