Grangemouth is a town and former burgh in the council area of Falkirk, Scotland, and formerly in the County of Stirling. It is on the Firth of Forth, 3 miles east of Falkirk. It is twinned with La Porte, Indiana and with Creteil, Paris, France as part of Falkirk District. Grangemouth is currently known for its large petrochemical plant, one of the largest in Europe.

Innen 1797, da det ble skrevet en rapport om fremgangen, var stedet en landsby av betydelig størrelse, og hadde fått navnet Grangemouth. Det første navnet var Sealock, men dette ble endret til Grange Burn Mouth, etter den lille elven Grange Burn som rant inn i Carron like ved. I løpet av 1780-årene ble dette trukket sammen til Grangemouth. Etter at det ble konstruert et havneanlegg, som hadde direkte forbindelse med Glasgow via kanalen, begynte stedet virkelig å vokse. En stor del av de varer som ble importert til Skottland ble tatt inn over havnen i Grangemouth før de ble sendt videre gjennom kanalnettverket. I 1810 fikk byen sitt eget tollhus, og trengte dermed ikke lenger å betale toll til den eldre landsbyen Bo'ness noen kilometer unna. Det ble også anlagt en tørrdokk i 1811. Mot slutten av det 19. århundre fikk Grangemouth bystatus. Grangemouth Aerodrome ble opprettet i feburar 1939 som en del av planleggingen for en eventuell krig, og var en tid Storbritannias største flyplass. Under andre verdenskrig ble den særlig brukt til opplæring av jagerflyvere. Bare to hangarer står igjen av anlegget, mens resten av området er dekket av en stor petrokjemisk fabrikk, et sportsstadium og andre bygninger.
