Grand Ayatollah Allama Shaikh Muhammad Hussain Najafi (born April 1932) was the first Twelver Shi'a alim from Pakistan to be elevated to the status of marjiyyat, and the next in the line of Marjas of South Asia after Seyyed Ali Naqi Naqvi of Lucknow, India. At present, there are two Marjas of Pakistani descent, the other one Ayatollah Sheikh Basheer Hussain Najafi.
