Gionatha Spinesi (born 9 March 1978 in Pisa) is an Italian footballer currently playing as striker for Serie A team Calcio Catania. Spinesi started playing for Pisa Calcio. In November 1995 he signed for Inter Milan, however, he was not able to make appearance in the first team. Sold in January 1997 to Castel di Sangro, he played two unimpressive Serie B seasons for the small Serie B team. In June 1997 he joined A.S. Bari, where he made his Serie A debut and played six seasons.

In 2005/2006, Spinesi followed Siena coach Pasquale Marino in joining Catania, where he scored 20 goals and helped the team to achieve Serie A safety, with a healthy 10th place. In 2006-07 Spinesi kept his excellent top flight record up by notching 17 goals and ensuring Catania remained in Serie A. During the 2007-08 season Spinesi didn't score nearly as many goals as in the previous season, but was still an influential part of the first team. He has been plagued by injury since early 2008 and still has not returned as of January 2009. He has been linked with a move away from Sicily being that his current contract runs out at the end of the current season.

Nach einer Spielzeit bei Arezzo in der er insgesamt 22 Tore erzielte, wechselte Gionatha Spinesi nach Sizilien zum Ligakonkurrenten Calcio Catania. Hier wurde er auf Anhieb zum Stammspieler und erzielte Tore am Laufmeter (insgesamt 23 Tore in 38 Spielen). Auch dank der Treffer von Spinesi stieg Catania am Ende der Saison nach längerer Absenz in die Serie A auf.
