  • George Grant (born 1954) is an Evangelical educator, a Reformed scholar, and a Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) pastor. He served as an assistant to D. James Kennedy at the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church and taught at Knox Theological Seminary. Following his move to Tennessee in 1991, Grant founded the Franklin Classical School in Franklin, Tennessee, as well as the King’s Meadow Study Center which is focused on developing a cultural expression of the Protestant and Reformed Christian worldview in art, music, literature, politics, social research, community development and education. He is the chancellor of New College Franklin, a classical Christian liberal arts college being founded in Franklin. He is the author of more than 60 books and hundreds of articles. His Grand Illusions was an influential and best-selling pro-life book, published in four editions. He is currently involved in a church planting movement throughout Middle Tennessee and is the organizing pastor of Parish Presbyterian Church in Franklin, Tennessee. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities and regular classes in history, literature, theology, and the arts, he maintains an active writing and speaking schedule in this country and around the world. He has degrees in political science from the University of Houston (B.A. ), philosophy from Whitefield Theological Seminary, humanities from Belhaven College (D. Hum. ), and theology from Knox Theological Seminary. He lives in Middle Tennessee near Franklin with his wife and co-author Karen. Together they have three grown children and two grandchildren.
