Gazprombank is the largest Russian non-state owned bank, which is among the three largest banks in Russia. It is a joint stock bank founded in 1990. The bank is owned by the Russian gas company Gazprom, which controls 62.59% of shares directly and remained shares through its subsidiaries. In November 2006, Gazprombank announced that it could hold an initial public offering of its shares on Russian and foreign stock exchanges in the fall of 2007.
