  • Das Schwul-lesbische Königreich der Korallenmeerinseln (englisch Gay and Lesbian Kingdom of the Coral Sea Islands) ist eine Mikronation vor der Küste des australischen Bundesstaats Queensland. Sie entstand aus Protest gegen die Entscheidung des australischen Parlaments, gleichgeschlechtliche Ehen abzulehnen. Die „Sezession“ erfolgte am 14. Juni 2004. Eine Gruppe von Aktivisten segelte zur Inselgruppe und pflanzte dort eine Regenbogenflagge auf. Einer der Beteiligten, der 1965 geborene Dale Parker Anderson, wurde zum Kaiser Dale I. ausgerufen. Die Tumulte innerhalb des Königreichs führten zur Abspaltung/Neugründung diverser Gruppen mit einer ähnlichen Zielsetzung, wie etwa dem Gay and Lesbian Commonwealth Kingdom unter Leitung von Jaix Broox oder dem Vereinigten Schwulen Stamm (Unified Gay Tribe) unter Leitung von Bill Freeman und Enrique Pérez oder auch der in Deutschland beheimateten Gay Homeland Foundation unter Leitung von Victor Zimmermann. Die Inseln des Korallenmeeres sind nicht bewohnt und so wird das Königreich auch nicht von einem Staat anerkannt. Allerdings gibt das Königreich, das den Euro zur Währung erhoben hat, seit dem 1. Januar 2006 Briefmarken heraus. Angeblich ist ein Postdienst zwischen der australischen Provinz Queensland und den Inseln des Korallenmeeres eingerichtet worden, über dessen Umfang jedoch nichts bekannt ist. Das Gay and Lesbian Kingdom wird als eine Erscheinung des Gay Nationalism eingestuft.

Geen enkel land heeft de zelfverklaarde onafhankelijkheid erkend, aangezien de eilanden geen permanente bewoning kennen.
