The humanistic military drama was noted for its semi-anthological "The" stories, such as "The Medic" and "The Deserter". Additionally, one story was an homage to / retcon of the movie Casablanca, and Friedrich annuals caught up with the Howlers in both the 1950s Korean conflict, and in the 'Nam.
