Gan Kim Yong is a politician from Singapore. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he is currently the country's Minister for Manpower. Gan is currently a Member of Parliament representing the Chua Chu Kang Single Member Constituency. In the 2006 general elections, he won the Chua Chu Kang seat by defeating Steve Chia of the Singapore Democratic Alliance. Gan won with 60.37% of the vote. Gan previously represented the Holland-Bukit Panjang GRC from 2001-2006.
