As of 2006, Galenika remains a leader in research and development as the only pharmaceutical company in Serbia and Montenegro with an institute registered with the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection. According to its most recent annual financial report submitted to Serbian Economic Register Agency, the company has 2,711 employees and it posted an annual profit of RSD949,920,000 (approximately €11.9 million at the time) for the calendar year 2007.
