Il est aussi possible de faire des recherches dans les collections selon des critères. La version courante gère ces types de collections : films; jeux vidéos; livres; musique; numismatique; vin; jeux de société; bandes dessinées; épisodes de séries TV; timbres; périodiques/magazines; mini véhicules; collections définies par l'utilisateur. GCstar est le successeur de GCfilms qui ne gérait que les collections de films.
