The village is about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) west of the market town of Hungerford in West Berkshire, and Froxfield's eastern parish boundary forms part of the county boundary between Wiltshire and Berkshire. Froxfield village is on a stream that is a tributary of the River Dun. The road between London and Bristol follows the valley of the stream and passes through the village.
