Fredric Michael "Fred" Lynn (born February 3, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois) is a former center fielder in Major League Baseball who played for the Boston Red Sox (1974–80), California Angels (1981–84), Baltimore Orioles (1985–88), Detroit Tigers (1988–89) and San Diego Padres (1990). Fred Lynn was inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2002 and to the College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.
