- Die Fox Sports Networks (ehemals Fox Sports Net) war ein Verbund aus regionalen Kabelsendern in den USA, die sich auf Sportberichterstattung spezialisiert haben und teil des 21st Century Fox waren. Zur Familie gehörten auch Fox Business Network und der Fox News Channel sowie das Fox News Radio. Der Verbund wurde 1976 unter dem Namen SportsChannel gegründet und 1997 in Fox Sports Net umbenannt. Derzeit gibt es 24 eigene Sender (ohne Unterkanäle) die entweder Metropolregionen (zum Beispiel Fox Sports Detroit) oder mehrere Bundesstaaten (wie zum Beispiel Fox Sports South) abdecken und mit den dort ansässigen Teams aus der NHL, NBA und MLB die Übertragungsrechte aushandeln. - Fox Sports Networks (FSN), formerly known as Fox Sports Net, was the collective name for a group of regional sports channels in the United States. Formed in 1996 by News Corporation, the networks were acquired by The Walt Disney Company on March 20, 2019, following its acquisition of 21st Century Fox. A condition of that acquisition imposed by the U.S. Department of Justice required Disney to sell the regional networks by June 18, 2019, 90 days after the completion of its acquisition. Disney subsequently agreed to sell the networks (excluding the YES Network, being reacquired by Yankee Global Enterprises) to Sinclair; the transaction was completed on August 22, 2019. The networks continued to use the Fox Sports name only under a transitional license agreement while rebranding options were explored. A rebranding cross-partnership with Bally's Corporation took effect on March 31, 2021, and the networks were rebranded as Bally Sports, ending the Fox Sports Networks branding after 25 years. Each of the channels in the group carried regional broadcasts of sporting events from various professional, collegiate and high school sports teams (with broadcasts typically exclusive to each individual channel, although some were shown on multiple FSN channels or syndicated to a local broadcast station within a particular team's designated market area), along with regional and national sports discussion, documentary and analysis programs. Depending on their individual team rights, some Fox Sports Networks maintained overflow feeds available via subscription television providers in their home markets, which provided alternate programming when not used to carry game broadcasts that the main feed could not carry due to scheduling conflicts. Fox Sports Networks was headquartered in Houston, Texas, with master control facilities based in both Houston and Los Angeles; FSN also maintained production facilities at Stage 19 at Universal Studios Florida (which formerly served as home of Nickelodeon Studios until its closure in 2005). Cada canal emite en una región específica del país. Cada uno posee los derechos de algunos equipos de su región, en particular de las Grandes Ligas de Béisbol (MLB), la National Basketball Association (NBA), la WNBA y la National Hockey League (NHL), así como equipos universitarios. En 1995, la Fox Broadcasting Company compró el 50% de los canales Prime Sports, del grupo Liberty Media, y al año siguiente fueron renombrados a Fox Sports Networks. La Fox compró el 100% de los canales en 2005. Elle possède plusieurs chaînes régionales afin d'y produire et diffuser les matchs des équipes locales de sport professionnel. Le siège social du FSN se situe dans la région de . Ses principaux bureaux sont basés à Los Angeles et Houston. La plupart des réseaux du FSN ont adopté une stratégie de programmation qui consiste à acquérir les droits de diffusion de commentaires sportifs lors des événements de leurs grandes équipes régionales. Cette stratégie encourage d'ailleurs les personnes qui ne sont pas abonnées à la télévision par câble à s’y abonner, pour regarder leurs sports préférés commentés. En plus de ces commentaires locaux, le FSN organise et diffuse des spectacles d’avant-match, d’après-match et des émissions hebdomadaires centrées sur les différentes équipes pour attirer une autre catégorie de téléspectateurs.
