Formula D (originally published and still also known as Formula Dé) is a board game that recreates formula racing. It was designed by Eric Randall and Laurent Lavaur and was originally published by Ludodélire. The rights to the game passed to EuroGames with the collapse of Ludodélire, who in turn were acquired by Asmodée Éditions. When Asmodée released their new edition the name was Formula D and the rules were updated to include "street/import racing".

Jeder der sechs Würfel entspricht dabei einem Gang. Die Würfel unterscheiden sich in der Anzahl der Augen, die minimal und maximal gewürfelt werden können. Es gewinnt der Spieler, dessen Rennauto zuerst das Ziel erreicht.

Lo scopo del gioco è percorrere una o più volte un percorso ispirato a un circuito reale con dei segnalini a forma di automobile. Per decidere di quante caselle spostarsi, si tira a turno un dado, che dipende dalla marcia inserita: in prima si tira un dado tetraedrico con stampati solo i numeri uno e due; a marce più alte corrispondono dadi con stampati numeri più grandi. In corrispondenza delle curve, si trovano delle zone (lunghe in genere una quindicina di caselle) in cui si deve tirare il dado obbligatoriamente un certo numero di volte, per cui è necessario scalare le marce. Chi entra in curva e, facendo un punteggio troppo alto, "sfora", riceve un certo numero di punti di penalità a freni e pneumatici, che possono sommarsi fino al danneggiamento della vettura. Il circuito è largo tre caselle, per permettere sorpassi e traiettorie alternative.

En 2008, Asmodée realise une nouvelle edition du jeu en 2008 sous le nom de Formula D plus international. Avec produits vendus a ce jour, on estime a plus d'1 million de joueurs en France (total cumulé). Le jeu est edite en 7 versions étrangères et 18 pays de distribution dont les États-Unis et le Canada, le jeu a rencontré un réel succès jusqu'en 2001, date des dernières nouveautés. Il reste cependant un incontournable du genre et compte une fidèle communauté des joueurs. Une partie se joue avec 2 à 10 joueurs.
