Foley Room is the sixth studio album by Brazilian drum and bass artist Amon Tobin. It was released on March 5, 2007 by Ninja Tune. In the past, Tobin had created music through the sampling of old vinyl records. However, Foley Room is a marked departure from his traditional technique. Inspired by the foley rooms where sound effects are recorded for films, Tobin decided to record and work with original samples for the record.

According to the Ninja Tune website, "Amon and a team of assistants headed out into the streets with high sensitivity microphones and recorded found sounds from tigers roaring to cats eating rats, neighbours singing in the bath to ants eating grass". Tobin also called upon The Kronos Quartet, Stefan Schneider, and Sarah Pagé to record samples for the record. The first single, "Bloodstone", was released on iTunes on January 9 2007. The song was later released as a single proper on January 21 2007, with "Esther's" and the B-side "Here Comes the Moon Man" also included on the disc. In promotion of the record, Ninja Tune has released two YouTube "trailers". A DVD documentary detailing the album's recording process was released with the album.

Pour la première fois, Amon Tobin a renouvelé son processus de création aux dépens de sa collection de vinyls. L'artiste s'est directement inspiré du travail des bruiteurs et des musiques concrètes en collectant différents sons de machines, d'animaux (du Parc Safari de Hemmingford, près de Montréal), d'insectes ou de gens dans la rue. La sonorité de l'ensemble rappelle les pièces de musique concrète toujours légèrement agrémentées de Drum'n'Bass. Il faut également noter plusieurs collaborations sur ce disque avec la participation de l'harpiste Sarah Pagé et du percussionniste Stefan Schneider. Le Kronos Quartet est aussi invité sur le premier titre. L'album est accompagné d'un DVD qui retrace dans un documentaire l'élaboration de l'oeuvre et le déroulement de son enregistrement.
