Florence Finch was a British born New Zealand supercentenarian. She moved to New Zealand permanently in 1969. She holds the longevity record for New Zealand. She became the oldest person in the Southern Hemisphere at the age of 112, on 28 August 2006, following the death the day before, of Ecuadorian world's oldest person María Capovilla. Finch was born in London and, although nearly deafblind, celebrated her 113th birthday in Hastings, New Zealand. She died of cardio respiratory failure.
