A player's first-class statistics include his performances in Test matches. Generally, first-class matches are eleven players a side but there have been exceptions. Due to the time demands of first-class competition, the players are mostly paid professionals, though historically many players were designated amateur. Le Test cricket, qui oppose deux nations de haut-niveau au cours de matchs limités en temps actuellement à cinq jours, est une forme de first-class cricket, les performances individuelles ou collectives réalisées en Test cricket étant donc incluses dans les statistiques de first-class cricket.
