Between 1938 and 1943 only 624 Fiat 2800's were built, and out of that 210 pieces were built for the Italian military, the 2800 C MC version.

Sein Sechszylinder-Reihenmotor hatte einen Hubraum von 2852 cm³ und entwickelte eine Leistung von 85 PS / 62,5 kW. Über ein Viergang-Getriebe mit Mittelschaltung wurden die Hinterräder angetrieben. Der Wagen erreichte eine Geschwindigkeit von 115 km/h. 1944 wurde das Modell wieder eingestellt. Parallel dazu fertigte Fiat von 1939 bis 1941 das Modell 2800, eine viertürige Limousine mit gleicher Mechanik. Die Fahrleistungen betrugen 130 km/h. Sechszylindermotoren stellte Fiat dann erst wieder ab 1959 her.
