Fernando de Errázuriz y Martínez de Aldunate (also known as Fernando Errázuriz Aldunate) was a Chilean political figure. He served as provisional president of Chile in 1831. He was of Basque descent. He was born in Santiago, the son of Francisco Javier de Errázuriz y Madariaga and of María Rosa Aldunate y Guerrero Carrera. He became a lawyer and participated in the independence movement in Chile. On October 2, 1801 he married María del Carmen Sotomayor Elzo, with whom he had 8 children.

On January 28, 1823, he again became a member, together with José Miguel Infante and Agustín Eyzaguirre, of the ruling Government Junta that took over from the resigned Supreme Director Bernardo O'Higgins, and lasted until April 4, 1823, when Ramón Freire assumed as the new Supreme Director. After the transitional president José Tomás Ovalle died, Fernando Errázuriz became Provisional President from March 8th to March 31st, 1831, rapidly replaced by General José Joaquín Prieto on April 10th.

Errázuriz nahm aktiv am chilenischen Unabhängigkeitskrieg teil und wurde im Zuge der spanischen militärischen Erfolge 1814 von den königlichen Kolonialtruppen gefangengenommen. Erst mit dem Sieg der chilenischen Unabhängigkeitskämpfer in der Schlacht bei Chacabuco im Jahre 1817 erlangte er wieder die Freiheit. Von 1822 bis 1823 vertrat er seinen Heimatwahlkreis im Abgeordnetenhaus. In den Wirren des Jahres 1823 nach dem Sturz von Bernardo O'Higgins wurde Errázuriz im Januar zum Mitglied der regierenden Junta gewählt und unter der Regierung des Director Supremo Ramón Freire y Serrano im Dezember zum Präsidenten des Kongresses ernannt. Anschließend amtierte er als Senator für Santiago und ab 1824 auch als Präsident des Senats, was ihn ab 1824 zum Vertreter des Staatschefs Freire machte. Gleichzeitig zur nationalen Karriere amtierte Errázuriz auch zwischenzeitlich als Präsident des Provinzparlamentes von Santiago. Im März 1830 nach dem Ende der Regierungszeit von Francisco Antonio Pinto Díaz wurde er im Zuge des Bürgerkriegs zwischen den liberal-föderativen Kräften und ihren konservativ-zentralistischen Gegenspielern zum provisorischen Präsidenten des Congreso de Plenipotenciarios ernannt. Am 23. März 1830 übernahm er das Amt des Vize-Präsidenten unter dem Übergangspräsidenten José Tomás Ovalle. Als dieser am 21. März 1831 starb, amtierte er als dessen Vertreter. Zehn Tage später, am 31. März 1831 wurde José Joaquín Prieto Vial zum verfassungsmäßigen Präsidenten gewählt. Errázuriz betreute die Regierungsgeschäfte allerdings noch für ein halbes Jahr, bis Prieto am Unabhängigkeitstag Chiles, dem 18. September, sein Amt antrat. Fue regidor del cabildo abierto de 1810 y fue elegido diputado por Rancagua al Primer Congreso Nacional de 1811 y fue diputado por el mismo departamento de 1822 a 1823. Participó activamente en la revolución de la Independencia y sufrió las persecuciones realistas durante la reconquista española entre 1814 y 1817. Recobró la libertad después de la victoria patriota en Chacabuco el 12 de febrero de 1817. Fue elegido miembro de la Junta Gubernativa el 28 de enero de 1823. El 12 de diciembre del mismo año fue elegido Presidente del Congreso. El mismo año fue senador por Santiago y Presidente de la respectiva cámara. En su calidad de Presidente del Senado fue nombrado Director Supremo delegado el 3 de enero de 1824. Presidente de la Asamblea Provincial de Santiago el 19 de octubre de 1826 e igual cargo el 26 de noviembre de 1827. Fue designado presidente provisorio del congreso de plenipotenciarios en marzo de 1830. Pero el 8 de marzo de 1831 por la renuncia y posterior muerte de José Tomás Ovalle fue Vicepresidente Accidental o Presidente Provisional hasta el 22 de marzo. Ese día accedió en propiedad al cargo, en el que se mantuvo hasta el 18 de septiembre del mismo año de 1831, el cual entregó a José Joaquín Prieto, quien resultó elegido en las elecciones presidenciales convocadas al efecto. Fue elegido senador por Santiago nuevamente en 1831 a 1834. Falleció en Santiago en 1841.
