Fatima Jinnah was the younger sister of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Founder of Pakistan and an active political figure in the movement for independence from the British Raj. She is commonly known in Pakistan as Khātūn-e Pākistān and Māder-e Millat ("Mother of the Nation. ") She was born in Karachi, (in the Sindh province of British India that later became part of Pakistan).
