This brought the capacity of the stadium (without the temporary stand which can be erected opposite the main) to around 8,000 people. The stand was officially open on 1 August 2009 in a game versus Royal Antwerp FC after a safety certificate was successfully granted. The stadium company has sought additional revenues by hosting Scotland rugby union youth level internationals. Former Falkirk manager John Hughes has commented that the pitch has been damaged by playing rugby at the stadium. On October 29, 2010, in an evening kick off, the stadium hosted the Sky Sports Victory Shield match between Wales Under 16's and Scotland Under 16's
