Fajã de Baixo (Portuguese word for lower place) is a parish in the district of Ponta Delgada in the Azores. The population in 2001 is 4,553, its density is 1,124.2/km² and the area is 4.05 km². Faja de Baixo is surrounded by mountains. It is located in the western part of the island of São Miguel and is connected by roads linking Fenais da Luz and Ponta Delgada. The mountains which are covered with lovely trees are to the northeast while farmlands cover most of the parish.

Unmittelbar nordwestlich benachbart ist die Schwestergemeinde Fajã de Cima. Wesentlicher Erwerbszweig ist die Landwirtschaft. Berühmtester Sohn des Ortes ist der gegenwärtige (2005–2009) portugiesische Parlamentspräsident Jaime Gama.
