Euro-Ukrainian is a proposed Latin Alphabet for Ukrainian. The Latynka is not officially used. Only in other countries do Diaspora Ukrainians rarely use the Latin Alphabet. Some young Ukrainians who do not read nor write using the Cyrillic Alphabet, due to never having learned it, use a version of the Latynka to write, but only for informal purposes. In most cases the official Ukrainian Version of the Cyrillic Alphabet is used in Ukraine and abroad.

Euro-Ukrainian is an alternate way of writing in Ukrainian. Euro-Ukrainian does not discourage the use of the Cyrillic alphabet, but rather so that both scripts may be used as they are in Bosnia and many other countries. Euro-Ukrainian can also be used for transliterating Ukrainian names of persons and cities. According to the Omniglot, the author of this script is Max Lagoda. Optional Letters that can be used Ŕ ŕ - used before я, ю, ї, є. W w - for Polish, and other foreign loan words io - instead of jo for йо.
