Eugène Minkowski (April 17, 1885 - November 17, 1972) was a French Jewish psychiatrist, born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He proposed that psychopathology should aways be interpreted taking into account the personal experience of time. The main concepts created by Minkowski included the ideas of "vital contact with reality" and "lived time". During his career, he was associated with Henri Ey, Eugen Bleuler and Ludwig Binswanger.

Il écrivait en 1921 que la "schizophrénie n'est pas une maladie mentale mais la maladie mentale", qu'il conçoit comme une anthropologie du sujet. Il est un des fondateurs de la société et revue L'Évolution psychiatrique. Avec Henri Ey il a été l'un de ceux qui ont révolutionné la psychiatrie française cantonnée à l'époque dans une approche positiviste. Il a connu Husserl et de Ludwig Binswanger qu'il avait rencontrés à Zurich. Il est le père d'Alexandre Minkowski, pédiatre. En 2008, Eugène Minkowski est un des personnages du téléfilm La Résistance, où il est joué par Jean-Gabriel Nordmann.

Praktykował w Kazaniu, potem w Zachodniej Europie. Współpracował w swojej karierze m. in. z Henrim Ey, Eugenem Bleulerem i Ludwigiem Binswangerem. Ożenił się z psychiatrą Françoise Brokman, poznaną w Kazaniu; ich synem był Alexandre Minkowski, później pediatra. Bratem Eugène'a był Mieczysław Minkowski (1884-1972), szwajcarski neurolog.
